Environmental Scientist
EnviroServices & Training Center, a Hawai‘i-owned and operated environmental consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist for its Honolulu office.

Employee must possess the necessary knowledge, education, experience, physical abilities, and communication skills to perform the duties described below:
Prepare written technical reports and other project documents.
Provide data management, processing and interpretation.
Conduct inspections of stormwater infrastructure such as outfalls, open channels, and other drainage structures.
Conduct water sampling (stormwater and drinking water) for compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Provide desktop and in-situ (field) reviews of water utility assets.
Assist with conducting audits of roadways and associated facilities for compliance with local and federal stormwater management requirements.
Coordinate with senior staff, regulators, and client representatives on multiple projects based in the office and field.
Assist in project management as needed.
Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or other physical science from an U.S.-accredited four-year college or university.
Ability to interpret and summarize federal, state and county environmental regulations.
Ability to manage large data sets.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and the public.
Quality-focused with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and in team settings, organize/manage multiple priorities, and conduct problem analysis/resolution.
Knowledge of various PC software applications including GIS, MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
Preferred Qualifications – Preference will be given to candidates possessing:
Minimum 1 year of experience working in water and stormwater regulatory compliance.
Ability to interpret civil construction design and as-built plans.
Experience with sampling environmental media (stormwater and drinking water preferred).
Familiarity with potable water systems, including regulatory requirements.
Proficient with Bluebeam Revu, ArcGIS (Pro), and MS Excel.
